Tuition Assistance Applications Due

Yeshiva Har Torah is commmited to offering financial assistance to families unable to meet our regular tuition schedule. Applications for financial assistance must be submitted by first time applicants no later than March 19th, 2010. All others must submit their applications no later than April 16th, 2010. An application received after the deadline may be considered but only based upon available funds at that time. 8th Grade Kippa Sale!
TUESDAY, JANUARY 19

Everywhere you look at YHT, you see children wearing the newly available YHT Kippot.  However, the Kippot are not just for kids!  So to all you Dads out there – show your support by sending in your order  for your very own YHT Kippa.  At the same time you will be supporting the 8th grade in their fundraising efforts.  The kippot cost $12 each.  Attached, at the back of the Daf Kesher, are pictures of the available kippot.  One Kippa style (N) is sold out and two other styles (D & I) are in low supply.  If you would like to purchase a kippa please send in cash or a check made out to YHT for $12 per kippa ordered.  Please include a note indicating your name and which kippa (A, B, D, G, I or L) you are purchasing.  Mark the front of the envelope "YHT Kippa - Jacqueline Gavrilov or Akiva Hochbaum".

Stop & Shop A + Bonus Bucks
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11

Every year Stop & Shop runs a program called "A+ Bonus Bucks". The program runs from October 9, 2009 through March 25, 2010. YHT - PTA will have the opportunity to earn cash through this program. This program is based on registering your Stop and Shop card (you can do so immediately) so that points are directed to YHT.

It works as follows. Each shopping visit, A+Bonus Bucks are rounded per transaction to the nearest whole dollar amount. For example: If your bill totaled at $3.49, it would earn three A+Bonus Bucks for YHT. If your bill totaled $8.69, it would earn his or her school nine A+Bonus Bucks. At the end of each month, each school's dollar amount is determined using the following formula:

Total YHT monthly A+Bonus Bucks points is divided by ALL participating schools' monthly A+Bonus Bucks points. The result is then multiplied by the A+Bonus Bucks monthly dollar reward (approximately $330,000*). This result is YHT’s monthly dollar award.

THE FOLLOWING NUMBERS USED ARE FOR EXAMPLE PURPOSES ONLY: YHT earned 1000 points in the month of October When combined, all participating A+ schools’ points equaled 500,000 in the month of October 1000 points(YHT) divided by 500,000 points (All A+ participating schools) = .002 Multiply by $330,000 (approximate monthly award) = $660 YHT would earn $660 in the month of October. This is then repeated for Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb & March

Attending to this simple process makes a huge difference. The more points we accumulate the more money we will receive. As fewer schools will be registered, we have an opportunity to earn more in the early months of this program. Please encourage your relatives, friends and neighbors as well as your fellow parents to register.
