PTA Fundraisers

Membership Dues

PTA Registration supports the YHT-PTA efforts for programs to enhance the children's education. PTA dues are $50 per family for the year, or $350 for a lifetime membership, and can be purchased online. Upon payment, each family will receive the school calendar and directory.

School Calendar & Directory

The PTA publishes the school calendar and directory annually for PTA members and faculty. In addition to being an essential publication, the calendar is a great fundraiser for the PTA. Sponsorships are available and parents have the opportunity to include important dates for $8 per date (including birthdays, anniversaries, yahrzeit, bar and bat mitzvahs, or graduation messages for 8th graders). Additionally, quarter page and business card size ads are available for 6 or 13 months; full page and half page ads are available in the directory. To inquire about ad pricing, please reach out to [email protected].

Spiritwear

We sell a wide selection of spiritwear to suit boys, girls, teachers, and adults. Best of all, each purchase supports the PTA. During the year, visit the Spiritwear Store to place your orders. Be sure to show off your YHT pride, especially on Spiritwear Fridays!

Oliver’s Labels

Label supplies and clothing to avoid the lost & found. Order at http://www.oliverslabels.com/YHT and 20% of your purchase will support YHT.

Birthday Library Fund

The birthday library fund is a fundraiser that supports the PTA while adding much needed books to our school library. During the month of your child's birthday, you should receive an email with a link to contribute money to the fund. Once you give your $18 donation, an age-appropriate book is purchased by Mrs. Pilarski and will be given to the library with a dedication sticker containing your child's name and birthday. Mrs. Pilarski will then show it to your child and even snap a picture if she is able! This is a great way to support the PTA and help grow our school library! If you have any questions, please reach out to [email protected].

Sympathy Cards

The PTA offers Sympathy cards to express your condolences to those within our community. The cost is $8 per card and can be requested online. For questions, please email Roya Samuels at [email protected].

Box Tops

Download the Box Tops for Education app. Simply scan your receipts to earn Yeshiva Har Torah $.10 per box top. The app will find participating products purchased at any store and instantly add cash to our school's earnings online.

Amazon Smile

Amazon Smile is an easy and free way to support Yeshiva Har Torah. Simply go to http://smile.amazon.com/ch/11-3172538 and register Yeshiva Har Torah as your charity of choice. From then on, as long as you start your Amazon shopping at www.smile.amazon.com (you may want to bookmark that link for easier access), the Amazon Smile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price from your eligible purchases to Yeshiva Har Torah. To make purchases on the app, open the app, find ‘Settings’ in the main menu and tap on ‘AmazonSmile’ to follow the on-screen instructions.

After School Clubs

The PTA offers a variety of after school clubs during the school year to enrich and supplement YHT academics. Activities range from art and yoga to science and video game design. While typically clubs are in person and available to K-4 grades, this year they are virtual and open to any student in any grade level.

Flower Sale

Flower bouquets with delivery to Queens, Great Neck, and West Hempstead are available for order to enhance Rosh Hashana and other holidays.

Book Fair

The annual PTA book fair occurs shortly before Chanukah coinciding with Parent-Teacher Conferences. There is always a wide variety of English as well as Judaic books with book lists provided by the school librarian and teachers. Starting in 2020, the Book Fair will take place online only with the Children's Bookstore. Books can be purchased year-round.

Chocolate Bar Sale

The chocolate bar sale is our biggest fundraiser.  All students are asked to sell at least one box of chocolate bars.

Chanukah Teacher Collection

The PTA collects a set amount per child for a group gift to be given on Chanukah to each teacher, administrator, and support staff member. Full participation by all families is encouraged. Be sure to let your class parent know that you are participating. Contact your child's class parent or [email protected] with any questions.

Pesach Candy Sale

The PTA participates in Miss Chocolate/Bartons Passover candy sale. If everyone sells just one item, the school greatly benefits. Participation is encouraged for this lucrative PTA fundraiser.
